The EGR valve on a 93 explorer is on the PASSANGER side of the motor just to the right of the oil fill stem coming off the engine. Youll notice the metal hose coming off the top of the valve. Theres 2 bolts, one on the left and one on the right holding it onto the intake manifold.
Where is the EGR valve located on a 2000 Ford Explorer
On a 1998 Ford Explorer, the EGR valve is located on the intake manifold. It is behind the throttle body.
Everything since the 60s. Yes. there are a few without.
On the 4.0 L OHV engine, the EGR valve is located on the driver's side of the engine. how do i repair it
The 1993 Ford escort did not come with an EGR valve. It is one of a few year models that do not have one.

As far as I can tell, there is no EGR valve on 1993 Ford Aerostar 3.0L engines. I have searched and found none and the vacuum hose routing decal in the engine compartment does not show an EGR valve.
The EGR VALVE is located on the right side of your engine. Behind your AC compressor. Apperance: It is a small rectangular metal box. With a VAC hose going in the right side and one coming out of the bottom. The above answer is incorrect. ON a 1993 ford explorer the a/c compressor is on the left side of the motor and the egr valve is not electronic in nature and is not a small square box. so what and where is it then im sure its like my 94. theres a tube coming up from the exhaust manifold. going to the valve with a vacuum line going to it too.
On the drivers side of the engine , above the exhaust manifold
I have a 93 4.0 and it has no EGR valve. My neighbor who is a ford mech. says some don't have EGR's and some have only one O2 sensor.
The EGR position sensor is located on top of the EGR valve. Has an electrical connector attached.
