On the under side of the intake tube 1-2 inches away from the throttle body.
They are located on the IAT itself which is on the throttle body
IT is a Intake Air Temperature sensor
where the map sensor on 98 blazer?
the iat sensor is located by the air filter in line to the the intake (the rubber hose between the filter and intake i have a98 s10 that i am working on that has a bad iat sensor you can tell it bad when you test it with a scan tool the one i had to replace was reading that the iat was at -40 below and it made my truck smell like gas
Its part of the MAF sensor. In 98 they integrated it.
If it is a SOHC it is on the air take between 1st and 2nd port
on the side of the alternator, look at the intake manifold, on the side, facing the brake fluid container, there is a brass nut with a gray electrical plug coming out of it, that is the IAT sensor.
No it is not. The mass air flow sensor measures the amount of air coming into the engine. the O2 sensor measures the amount of oxygen after combustion. The mass airflow sensor is located in the air intake and the O2 sensor is located in the exhaust.
The IAT sensor is located inside the naff sensor housing, it reads air mass volume and air temperature as one unit. There are two other air temp sensors that do not control engine parameters. One is located under the front bumper; it reads outside air temps and reports it to the driver. The other air temp senor is located inside the HVAC system A/C & Heater control unit; that sensor is used for climate control and helps regulate the air tempurature in the car to whatever it is set to
on top of the fuel tank on the fuelpump mod.
The speed sensor on a 98 Jetta is located near the brake setup. It is on the passenger wheel area mounted to a bracket.
The fuel pump main relay in a 1998 Chevy Blazer is located in a black box under the vehicle's hood. You will find the relay and sensor box near the firewall on the passenger side of the vehicle.
