You remove a lower bolt on one of the pto cover plates to drain the fluid.
Find the drain plug on the tranny oil pan. Loosen it and the fluid should start to drain - remove the plug all the way and let the contents go into a pan. When doing this, one also needs to change the tranny oil filter - this is accomplished by removing the tranny oil pan and changing it.
I really doubt that there is a drain plug for the tranny, usually you have to unbolt the tranny fluid pan and take it down to get to the filter and drain the fluid.
If it's like most cars it doesn't have a drain plug for the tranny, you have to unbolt the tranny pan and take it down.
just above the drain plug on the tranny case. drain plug the lower bolt.
Look underneath the bike and just below the tranny. you should find two drain plugs. The engine is the forward drain plug. The one on the side (right side of the bike) is the tranny plug.
there is no drain plug.... if you crawl under your van you will see a black pan (or at least it is on my 2005)directly behind your oil pan! Reason being why would you change tranny oil without changing the filter?
There is no drain plug. Unbolt the bottom pan of the tranny and pull the filter off.
yes its on the bottom of the tranny
AnswerIf it has one it will be on the transmission pan. Some trans do not have a drain plug, and the pan must be removed to drain the fluid.-NOT TRUE!!!Plug being on the drain pan is only true for an automatic transmission and yes there is one there. If it's automatic turbo it has 2 drain plugs on/near the pan and non turbo automatic there is on drain plug on the pan.The manual tranny drain plug on a 2g dsm turbo is a single bolt on the inside of the tranny (opposite side of the where the cv axle attaches) near the crossmember. The tranny drain plug for a non turbo dsm is on the bottom part of the transmission and is also a single bolt.
walk to the right side of the bike. lay down and look under the middle of the bike. just behind the engine and directly below the tranny is an oil pan. the oil drain plug is on the very front of the pan. the tranny drain plug is on the side facing you.
There is no drain plug on the tranny, you have to take all the bolts out of the pan and drop the pan.
