Should be located on the left hand side towards the rear of the engine downlow, (that is if it is the same as a 1999 Chevy Suburban k1500 4x4.) This will be much easier to see from underneath the vehicle. Just an FYI, if you are going to do an oil change and you do have the 4x4 version, you may want to cut a piece of plastic and wrap it around the u-joints going into the transaxle as it is just below the oil filter and tends to get oil all over the u-joint. I just did my oil cooler lines, oil and filter 30 minutes ago. I used Dorman oil cooler lines that I bought locally for $24.00 and @25.00 each. Chalk up another three or four hundred dollars saved by doing it yourself. Hope this helps.
