Yes you have to drop the fuel tank to access the fuel gauge sending unit on top of the tank.
6 will put you in operating range
I bought a 2006 hood for my 2004 GTO and it fit perfectly. No problem what so ever.
5.8 L, not sure what that is in quarts, put some in and check the dipstick, add if needed, if you dont know that, maybe you should leave your vehicles servicing to the professionals 6.5qts of regular oil, depending if you fill the filter first or not. You can also switch over to synthetic oil in the 2004 GTO. (MOBIL ONE)
The automatic transmission in the 2005-2006 GTO was the Hydramatic 4L65E, as opposed to the 2004 GTO with the Hydramatic 4L60E. The manual transmission was for the 2004-2006 GTO was the Tremec T-56 with M12 gearset.
The 2004 gto has 350 hp coming from the engine but that is not rwhp.
