not sure about mustangs but on Dodge caravans it is ussually alongside the battery. It's a long metal silver box(the one on the other side is for your transmision). these are quite expensive to replace, so I'd get one at napa or online as they run between 350-500 bucks depending on the year caravan. Hope this helps:) I fix my own vehicles and work for an auto salesmen.
