No mechanic here.. asked the one who services my 1999 Lanos.. he used to be a certified mechanic for Daewoo, until they sold the company.. on the matter at hand..
The instructions to the mechanics were, that to replace the A/C filter, the customer had to be away from the repair shop.. the reason? The had to cut through the plastic at the lower part of the dashboard - somewhere left of the front passenger's leg.. bad design on Daewoo's part. Maybe they did not expect their cars to last as long as they do :-)

Any plasic parts cannot be repaired. The radiator and and thermostate housings are easy repairs. The bypass tube in the rear requires the intake system to be removed.
