( page 391 shows a diagram of Instrument Panel Relay Module # 4 and shows the
location of the accesory delay system relay in the module , but unfortunately it just
shows an arrow pointing in the direction of the instrument panel and doesn't show
the exact location of Relay Module # 4 under the dash )
where is the head light timer on 96 ford explorer
The main headlight relay is mounded in the fuse box under the air filter. The relay for timed headlights is in the relay box under the center of the dash.
Replace the horn relay. It is defective. Another possibility is a defective horn switch, but highly unlikely.
It is in an auxiliary relay box directly beneath the air filter hose. The blower motor relay is the large one second from the left as you look down from the right fender.
Wherever the fuel filter on a 96 ford explorer is
It will be in the Power Distribution Box in the engine compartment on the drivers side ( the PD Box is " live " )
There is no power to the sending unit as it is a switch (activated by the pressurized oil pump) that signals a relay, this relay in return sendy 12 volts to another relay, which turns on power to the gauge indicating there is pressure
No it will not
The 'switch' is integral to the turn signal lever mounted on the steering column. Not fun to replace. The 'flasher' relay is usually with the fuses or other relays. Check your owners manual for exact relay locations.
No. they are different.
According to the owner's manual , on a 1996 Ford Explorer , the fog lamp relay is located in the engine compartment relay module # 2 along with relays for the front washer pump , blower motor , and high speed blower . It is shown as being in the passenger side of the engine compartment. I'm not a mechanic but after looking with a flashlight I think I finally found the relay box between the air filter housing and the passenger side headlight. (Helpfull)
