The air filter is inside a black plastic "box" located just above the battery. All you have to do is unscrew the lid fo the container and pull the filter out. The new filter, and lid, should only fit one way, so you shouldn't need to worry about putting it in wrong. The is a picture of the air filter casing, and its location, in your manual.

The cabin air filter on a 1998 Honda Accord is located behind the glove box. Unmount the glove box from its bracket and pull it out. The filter will then be visible.
It is really simple. Go buy a Purolator cabin filter. It will come with complete detailed instructions on replacing the filter.

Transmission filter on a 2000 Honda Accord is located under the air filter housing. Remove air filter housing and then locate the Transmission filter. There are a couple of bolts to remove and one can be a bit difficult. Once the old one is removed snap a new one in (there is a spring that you will have to feel by hand to make sure it is in correct). Replace the air filter housing and then you are good to drive.
