Under the window washer bottle below the air cleaner behind the headlight on the driver's side. The air hose goes under the firewall and follows the brake lines on the side of the frame on the driver's side back to the wheel well.

Air suspension needs compressed air for the control of Air Springs (Air Spring is a cylinder like thing which goes up and down when air is pumped in and out of it). For pumping in and out the air, air compressor needs to be switched ON/OFF. Compressor relay connects and disconnects the compressor motor from the power supply ( battery).

The most likely cause would be that the solenoind in the compressor is not venting properly. A little bit of extra information is that Lincoln had a high failure rate with the F5AZ 5A919 A (control module) for that vehicle. But, most likely the compressor is not venting properly.
The compressor is located under the washer fluid reservoir. To access compress remove two screws located on inner fender then disconnect the fluid line and electrical connection. Afterwards there is a little plastic panel underneath that you should remove. Then after disconnecting the electrical connection and air line from compressor, there are three nuts that need to be removed from underneath the car. Remember to turn off the air ride switch in the trunk and support your vehicle with jack stands or similar.
