The fuses on the 2000 Dodge Durango should be labeled for each part such as the tail lights. The tail light fuse is a 30 A.
de-fuseRemove the fuse marked security, or alarm from the fuse panel fuse location?
With your fingers
There is no single fuse. The alarm is disarmed by unlocking the doors with the key or the remote.
maybe that or a bad alarm fuse
The rear wiper/washer fuse is a MIN 15 (15amp, blue-colored mini blade type fuse), and on the 1998-2000 Durango the fuse is usually located in the fuse panel inside the vehicle, behind/under the dash on the left.
The factory alarm is not adjustable.
What is your problem? Is it because the alarm goes off for no reason? If it is I had the same problem and can help you.
You can not disconnect the factory alarm, it is built into the computers.
The alarm and the horn are interconnected in some models, if you pulled the fuse from the alarm it might have caused a surge big enough to blow the horns fuse, just replace it. You just have to make sure that the fuse you took from the alarm is back on. If the alarm is not working, disable it properly and not by removing a fuse.
To disable the alarm on a 2000 Ford Explorer, remove the fuse designated to the alarm. You can also turn the key halfway on and leave it in the position for 10 to 15 minutes before starting the car.
