I have a 1997 Honda civic, so i don't know if it is in the same place, but hopefully this helps. mine is under the dash panel to the left of the steering wheel. feel around there, it's not easy to find if you don't know more or less where to search. i always find mine because it is right next to a rectangular thing that feels like the "female" part of a serial port on a computer (lots of holes for short metal sticks to go into). i know this isn't a great description, but without physically showing you, it's kind of hard to describe. hope i have helped some, good luck!
