∙ 13y agoThere is so far as I can find no credible evidence that there ever actually was an atomic bomb by this name. The idea seems to have been popularized by a series of books called Island or something like that, but histories and memoirs of those involved in the Manhattan Project are pretty clear that only three bombs were constructed prior to the end of WWII: the gadget, detonated at the Trinity test site in New Mexico; Little Boy, dropped on Hiroshima; and Fat Man, dropped on Nagasaki.
