Where is the automatic transmission drain plug on a 2000 Chevy Blazer 4.3 rear wheel drive?
there is no drain plug on that transmission.you must remove the transmission oil pan and wile your there replace the filter.
How do you locate the transmission fluid drain plug on a 1993 Chevy Silverado with an automatic transmission?
Fluid capacity depends on the transmission on your vehicle, it should be stamped on the transmission pan. 4L60-E Automatic Transmission Drain and Refill 4.7 Liters (5.0 Quarts) Overhaul 10.6 Liters (11.0 Quarts) 4L80-E Automatic Transmission Drain and Refill 7.3 Liters (7.7 Quarts) Overhaul 12.8 Liters (13.5 Quarts)
Your 93 Chevy blazer is leaking transmission fluid from the bottom and smoking very bad what is wrong and how do you fix it?
its on the left hand side of the radiator but not very easy to get to My apology, it is a 1996 S10 Chevy Blazer instead of a 1999 Chevy Blazer. I need to see a picture or more detail of where the drain plug is located on the left side of the radiator. I have searched and searched and cannot find anything to drain with. Thanks, Linel
Many automatic transmission do not have drain plugs. You drain the ATF by removing the transmission fluid pan. If you are changing the ATF, you should pull the pan anyway, to replace the ATF filter. You will also need a new pan gasket. If there is an ATF drain plug, it will be located in the transmission fluid pan, on the bottom of the transmission.
