They don't have one. It's a 'sealed' tranny. Search on http://forums.vwvortex.com to learn more.
The 98 Cabrio has a sealed transmission, it does not have a dipstick.
VW from 1995 and on (automatic transmission) HAVE NO OIL DIPSTICK. You have to take it to your VW dealer for a check every 100 K miles. I hope this help. Good luck and GOD Bless.
It doesn't have one. VW says the transmission fluid is for the "life of the transmission." Scary.
Aprox 25 city and 31 highway
Under the dash on the drivers side.
On the VW automatic transmission of this generation vehicle, the transmission is supposed to be serviced only by VW, so there is not the typical dip stick tube that comes up into the engine compartment. You can check the fluid and add if needed through the fill spout, under the car, located directly on the transmission pan. There is a short 2" tube with a red cap, unscrew the cap which also has a fluid level indicator attached, similar to a power steering dipstick. To add fluid you will need to pump it in with a hose attached to your container. Regards. BDBENZ
For an automatic, on the top of the transmission. When standing in front of the car with the hood up, the speed sensor will be attached to the top of the transmission with a two-wire connector attached. It will look like this: http://tinyurl.com/2fpsvwb It is attached to the transmission by a single T25 Torx screw. Detach the connector, remove the screw and pull the sensor out - you may have to jiggle it a little.
I have a 1999 cabrio and the trunk release is in the centre console. If you unlock the little box there is a trunk release button in there. Hope this helps you out.
Probably a pull knob located in the trunk.
It's located in the gas tank. You can get to it by pulling out the top cover in your trunk.
It is attached to the washer fluid bottle near the bottom
their's no cabin filter for that model year
