The blower is on the PASSENGER side firewall and a bit under the fender. You access it from the engine bay.
Note if you have lost a speed it is likely the resistor pack which is also in the engine bay. Remove the wash & antifreeze overflows to get access to it.
Good luck,
Nick
i have a 2003 chev astro van and need to replace the blower fan
Under the hood, on the firewall, passenger side, close to the blower motor.
Open the hood ...it should be on the left side of the firewall...right off of the blower motor box...
yes
You probably have a shorted wire going to the motor or switch. You'll have trace the wires and find the damaged section.
There is a resistor located in the blower housing. It may be under the dash on the left(passenger) side. It will have two screws holding it in and have three or four wires plugged into it.
Could be,The blower speed switch or electrical plug at switch is burned out.The high speed blower relay is burned out.The blower motor is on its way out.The blower motor speed control resister is burned out,The cabin filter (if applicable) is very dirty.
On my 2002 Tracker it is behind the glove box on the blower box and attached with a small screw. It is a small metal square about 1 inch thick
