The blower motor resistor is on the passenger side, under the dash. remove the lower dash panel (2 or 4 screws) and it is the peice right in front of you with wires snaking towards it, and two wiring clips going to it. a tug, and it should come out.
Removing the glove box helps. You have to lie on you back and look up under the dash. The resistor pack is screwed into the heater assembly with a single phillips head screw. It looks like a metal panel with four wire connector going into it You will need a short handled screwdriver.
Resistor is a separate unit from the blower motor
Up behind the fan under the passenger side airbag
It will be located somewhere in the path of the air that the blower motor blows.
Blower motor: remove the glove box and you will see the blower motor and blower resistor.
In general the heater blower motor speed resistor is located in close proximity to the blower motor.
You'll find the heater blower motor resistor in the heater/air conditioner compartment. This compartment is location underneath the dashboard. This is the part that allows the heater blower motor to change the fan's speed.
A malfunctioning blower motor resistor will cause the blower motor not to work. When the resistor is bad the blower motors will not turn on.
The a/c heater blower motor resister is located in the vehicle on the passengers side inside the housing next to the blower motor...............Remove the blower motor resistor wire harness connector.Remove the blower motor resistor screws.Remove the blower motor resistor.
Blower motor, resistor, wiring or control problem are common causes
Generally the blower motor resistor is found close to the blower motor. It relies on the blower motor to keep it cool.
The blower motor resistor has failed. The blower motor resistor has failed.
