If you take off the glovebox and look on top of the heatercore box, it's facing down into the box. There's a big plug of wires into it. The 2 screws are kinda hard to get at though. I haven't taken mine out yet to replace. But I have figured out because I only have high and no low or med speeds. It is the cause. I replaced the heater fan motor first because it sounded like a helicopter but before i did, i lost low and med speed in the fan. After replacing the switch in the dash, I replaced the relay, located near the resitor behind the glove box. So I guess it has to be it. My truck is the 98chev W/T. Good luck !!! The blower resistor on a 1999 Chevy truck Z1500 is located behind the glove compartment. There is also a resistor on the firewall next to the blower motor itself.
In the truck!
Its should be behind the glove box.. held in by 1 screw
The resistor is located on a small circuit board close to the blower, it can be seen by removing the glove compartment.
it is under the glove compartment on the passenger side of the truck
The blower motor resistor pack is defective. Replace it.
The blower motor resistor is located under the front dash on the passenger side of the truck. It is a fairly simple job to replace...maybe 15 minutes. The 2005 Ford F1 50 pickup truck blower motor resistor pack can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The blower motor resistor pack is on the passenger side of the firewall.
Your truck has both. the resistor is between the switch & blower.thje resistor controls the blower speed
On the passenger side underneath the dash, look for a connector with four wires. The blower motor resistor should have two small bolts holding it in place
hi it should be behind glove box on top of heater box
1999 S10, it should be under the hood, on the firewall, on the passengers side, close to the blower motor.
