Enoch was one of the only two people in The Bible who did not die, the other being Elijah the prophet. "By faith Enoch was taken from this life, he could not be found, because God had taken him away. There is a Book of Enoch. It is an account of the experiences of Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. He was taught various things by angels such as Uriel. They taught him the measuring of the Earth, arts, and language. He was brought into Heaven by God, therefore avoiding death. It is sometimes described as "walked with God," when this appears in the Bible it means an individual was brought to heaven to live and removed from mortality. He also figures fairly prominently in some Masonic traditions.
The Book of Enoch is an apocryphal text which claims to be written from the perspective of Enoch, a man briefly mentioned in the lineage between Adam and Noah as one who 'walked with God all his days' and was eventually taken by God rather than dying. The book largely describes what happens to Enoch after this, describing events particular to angels and talking of the things he sees in Heaven, either through direct visit or dreams and visions. While it is not regarded as canon by mainstream Judaism or Christianity, it is quoted in the book of Jude and various bits of it have survived in extrabiblical folklore.
The Book of Enoch is an apocryphal book that is "supposedly" written by Enoch the 7th in the lineage of Adam son of Jared and great grandfather of Noah. It details the times when the fallen angels came down and had offspring with the daughters of man.
