If you are looking at the engine bay from the front of the vehicle, it will be on the right-hand side, under the timing belt covers (must be removed), on the bottom side of the engine (must remove front driver tire to get at it with ease). It looks like a 3 point "ninja star".

Where is can position sensor located on 1998chevy 3.1engine
The cam sensor is inside the distributor.
Cam position is taken from the distributor. There is no separate cam sensor.
I would like to know where the cam sensor is on a 1999 pathfinder and is there one or they calling it a crank shaft sensor The cam shaft position sensor is located in the distributor.
There is no cam sensor on the 1995 year engine. GM. did not use a cam sensor on that year.
84 does not use a cam sensor. it does however use acrankshaft position sensor located in the lower front section of the engine assembly.
a 1993 doesn't have a cam sensor. the crankshaft position sensor is located on the front of the engine directly above the crankshaft pulley
It is located in the distributor unit.
well were is it
located inside the distributor
Assuming that it is a 3.1 V6, as most of them are, there is no cam sensor. Only a crankshaft sensor. It is located behind the harmonic balancer. To replace it the balancer has to be removed.
