4.7 L it is under the front of thr right head. other engines it is in the distributor.
The cam sensor on a Dodge 4.7L is under the front outside of the passenger side cylinder head.
Replace the cam sensor
on the drivers side of the motor, top, front of cam sensor
No, just the distributor pick up plate (cam sensor)
No crank sensor on a 1990, only the pickup plate (cam sensor) in the distributor. how about a 1991?
The cam sensor is the "pick up plate" in the distributor, under the rotor.
it is the "pick up" plate inside the distributor.
The cam sensor is inside the distributor and tells the computer the rotational location of the camshaft.
I have a 340 code replaced the crank sensor 3 times replaced the cam position sensor still did not fix it the Dakota runs fine but when it gets warm it will not start until it cools off.
A 2002 Dodge does have a cam sensor, but the 318 was not offered after 2001.
Crank and cam sensors, yes. Vehicle speed sensor, no.
most crank sensors are for engine timing with the cam shaft, the distributor on at least 97' dodge and newer controls fuel timing.
