it is the "pick up" plate inside the distributor.
The cam sensor is the pickup plate under the distributor cap.
how do you replace a cam shaft sensor in a 2002 3.3L dodge grand caravan
Yes
It is inside the distributor.
The sensor on the CAM SHAFT!
Crank sensor is in the top of the transmission housing at the back of the engine. Cam position sensor is in the distributor.
buy a new one or junkyard drop it in and start it up its got a paper spacer so make sure its there
Replace the cam sensor
No, just the distributor pick up plate (cam sensor)
a 1993 doesn't have a cam sensor. the crankshaft position sensor is located on the front of the engine directly above the crankshaft pulley
on the drivers side of the motor, top, front of cam sensor
On the 5.2 the cam sensor is the little plate under the distributor cap. The powertrain computer uses the cam sensor to determine position of the cam/distributor. The computer needs that information to determine spark timing. The only reason to cahnge it would be if it quit working.
