The camshaft position sensor on a 1992 Buick Regal looks like the end of a ratchet.
the sensor is located behind the pulley for the water pump has one single 8mm bolt in it u need to remove pulley to get at it
under the water pump.
On the 3.1L & 3.8L engines, the CMP sensor is located on the timing cover, behind the water pump, near the camshaft sprocket.
The camshaft is located inside the engine block.
let a shop do it be cause it will has to be udjusted it will run about 60 dollars
The symptom will be no spark. If the problem with the camshaft sensor is intermittent, the engine may stall from time to time. If the failure is "solid," the engine will not start. A pulse from this sensor is required for the engine to run.
The interrupter magnet is normally replaced by removing the camshaft gear as the magnet is inserted through the back side of the gear.
on drivers side of the vehicle the maf sensor and idle air control valve. if you cant find it get someone at auto zone or advance to point it out to you
