Usually on most Vehicles the Crankshaft Sensor is located Behind the Lower Pulley which is known as the Harmonic Balancer.
There is not a camshaft sensor on the '93 3.1 Lumina, just a crank sensor on the back side of the engine between the block and the barrel of the transaxle. Easy enough to get to from underneath the car.
Yes.Yes.
The intake rear...next to Alternator...This is what I have found out.
It's in the distributor also called a hall sensor.

3 possibilities, camshaft sensor, ignition module, sparkplugs

i do believe that the camshaft sensor on the 3100 v6 motor is on the passeger side of the motor underneath the intake manifold and under the powersteering pump. i needed to replace the one on my 1996 lumina with that same motor and that's where i fould it. hope this helps.
location of the camshaft sensor
on the v6 1997 lumina ,the camshaft sesor is on top of engine right behind the power stiring pump, very small space just follow the four wire plug on top of engine ,plug wires lead right to sensor.i hope this helps you.
Bad coils or perhaps a bad crankshaft position sensor.
