Bradley International Airport, in Windsor Locks CT is the state's major airport. It is generally referred to as being in Hartford/Springfield, the two cities it lies between. (There are also many local airstrips which do not serve commercial airlines.)

The three nearest airports outside Connecticut are: T. F. Green in Warwick, Rhode Island; Logan in Boston MA; and JFK and LaGuardia in New York City.

LaGuardia is the closest. According to the measurements I got from Google Maps, it is almost exactly 4 miles directly east of the northeast corner of Central Park (5th Avenue and 110th Street).

LaGuardia and JFK Airports are in New York City (in the borough of Queens) and Newark Airport is in Newark, New Jersey, just outside New York City.

LaGuardia Airport is the closest to Manhattan, just a few miles across the Triboro Bridge from Upper Manhattan. But the other two are not much farther.
