On most MTD riders it is right by the seat hinge on the right side as you sit on the mower.
The switch is located inside of the frame, underneath the panel where the shift lever comes up. Remove the knob on the shift lever and remove 2 screws, and remove the plate. The switch is mounted below the Deck Lowering Lever.
In order to use a yard machine snow blower safely and properly, you must first read the safety manual and instructions and be sure to follow them correctly.
Not sure what your question is. But a typical problem with these switches is that the bracket get bent. If you look under the hood behind the engine on the left side as you are sitting on the mower you will see the bracket and the switch. Make sure the bracket is straight up and down. If it is sitting at an angle it will probably not make contact correctly. You can use a prybar or something else to put some pressure on the barcket and get it back to the straight position.
find the switch, cut the wires, strip and connect with a spring type wire nut or crimp type solderless connector
The kill switch is typically the ignition key. Depending on the mower it could also be a red push button labelled "emergency stop"
they mean a closed yard
What is the valve setting on a 15.5 hp yard machine mower by MTD?
no
More than likely the wire that runs from the ignition switch to the kill switch is disconnected, loose, or broken. The wire starts at the OFF position of the ignition switch and connects to another wire that shuts off the engine.
