The coil pack is located on the right hand side of the truck. Remove the right tire and pull back on the plastic cover closest to the motor.
Sometimes they are located on top of the distributor cap itself.

The correct firing order is 1-3-4-2
It is next to the Coil pack on the passenger side of the engine.It is 1" thick 4" long.
There is no coil wire only spark plug wires. The coil pack can be found on the lower passenger side of engine block. It is best seen and accessed from under the vehicle.

If it has the 2.2L engine, yes.
If you have a 2.2L engine in that 98 S10, the coil pack would be attached the the lower portion of the pasenger side of the engine block. It is best reached from underneath.
Chevy didn't make a S-10 in 1978.
We need to know what engine it has to answer that question.
There is no adjustment.
