Call autozone and they will have a diagram of where this is. also in the haynes manuel the is a location showed for you
on a 1994 it's behind the harmonic balancer
on the front of the motor under the front crank it has a plug going to the crank.
It is integrated in the distributor.
my 88 fiero had two valves stuck, one on cyl 2 and one on cyl 3.. if it would start it was on one or two cyl... or he crank senor might be bad
My problem on the 88 I was working on turned out to be the crank position sensor located on the driver side top of the bell housing.
it's built into the distributor
Check the crank sensor
crank or cam sensor...did you already figure it out?
depending on what year I have researched and found my 94 olds 88 has a gm commonly failing part called a Crank Shaft position sensor it is located behind the tensioner pully cost me $200 to have it tested and replaced and I haven't had a problem since
The location of the crankshaft position sensor depends on which engine the car has. If it is the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine the crankshaft position sensor is behind the ignition module. If it is the 2.8L V6 engine the crankshaft position sensor is on the side of the engine nearest the firewall and just above the pan rail in about the center of the block.
there is a few things that could be wrong, its very possible that the timing chain is shot or the crank positioning sensor is bad
The setting is you better have good eyesight! It has to be positioned between the fins on the back of the cranshaft dampner.
