I believe a 3.3L is just like a 3.8L or 3.0L. The sensor should be located behind the damper/balancer (the pulley that makes the belt spin.)
This sensor is located on an adjustable bracket. After installing a sensor, be very careful when installing the crank pulley/harmonic balancer/damper that it does not make contact with the sensor.
To remove the crank pully, you can use a special tool made by Kent-Moore. This tool works very well.
If you don't want to buy this tool and promise not to sue me, you can loosen but not remove the pulley bolt, then use a three-bolt-puller. I believe you will need three longish 8mmx125thread bolts and washers. Do not use a jaw-type puller.
Do not use any puller other than one made specifically for this purpose with the crank pulley bolt completely removed. The crank pulley bolt must be screwed in at least three full turns unless using the special tool.
