it has not got one you have to remove gear box sump plate
From the right side of the bike, get down and look underneath the area where the gearbox is located, you will see a drain plug in the middle of the gearbox casing (obviously for the gearbox) and nearer to the outside of the bike there is a same size drain plug in a small down tube which is open at the bottom and is connected to the oil tank.
Coolant drain plug ? Oil Drain Plug ? Atf Drain plug? Gearbox Drain plug? More Specific Pwease? its probably the oil plug he is sourcing, remove the splash tray and the sump plug will be just above it, you can drop the oil without removing, its just a bit messy.
The Filler plug is a hex head plug about half way up the gearbox on the passengers side. The head is about 15/16s or 1inch drive. This plug will be hard to get off and should be removed BEFORE cracking the drain plug to change the gearbox oil in your IS200. The filler plug is closer to the flywheel than you might think (closer to the front) and can be removed using a shifter (there is enough space around the head of the plug). The drain plug however is different. It's not the star head plug on the bottom of the transmission, (this contains a magnetic spring to catch debris), the drain plug is still on the side (passenger) of the gearbox and is the same size as the filler plug. This plug is surrounded by the design of the gearbox and you must use a socket to remove it.
You need to drain the plug until it loosens then remove the upper gearbox fill plug. This procedure will prevent you from refilling before draining the oil.
The gearbox drain on a manual box is a square drive plug under the nearside drive shaft and the filler plug which is also square drive is on the end of the gearbox itself and can be seen from the nearside wheel arch
There'll be a plug at the bottom of the transmission. That's the drain.
Take the wheel off closest to the gearbox, then you can clearly see the Automatic Transmission fluid drain plug. Its just behind the brake caliper. You may want to fill up and drain the gearbox twice in order to properly flush the gearbox as best as possible.
Firstly look for the drain plug on the bottom of the gearbox. Possibly could also be on the lower side of the gearbox. Open this up and drain the oil out.
Put the car on axle stands remove the lower engine cover, the drain plug for the gearbox is located at n/s/f at the bottom of the gearbox you will need a 8mm square key which you can buy many car parts stores for £3.remove the drain plug to drain the oil and clean the drain plug and put it back on after the oil is drained then remove the air box and remove the gearbox breather cap fill it up slowly and clean any spills on the gearbox as the oil will smell horrrible. the Peugeot 407 will take 2.6l of gearbox oil which you can buy from many car parts stores for around £17 job done. hope this may help
If you check the gearbox code on thisbox and find its F5M41 then the drain plug will be on the diff case..usually its quite a large one 24/to 34mm in size ..
its on the side of the transmission facing the front of the vehicle... the drainer is on the bottom and it is a 24mm bolt..
