Where is the crank sensor located on a 2.4 liter engine?

On a 1995 Nissan Pickup, 2.4 liter engine, the crack angle sensor is located on the distributor under the distributor cap. It is regarded as the right hand to the ECCS control unit, as it is the basic signal sensor for the entire ECCS system. It monitors the engine speed, piston position and it sends signals to the ECCS control unit for control of the fuel injection, ignition timing, idle speed, fuel pump operation and the EGR functions.

Where is eccs located on Nissan 240sx?

On the 1989-1990 240sx with the KA24E single overhead cam engine the E.C.C.S. is located on the top left side of the engine behind the throttle body and on top of the intake manifold.

Can you use an E10 fuel on your 1992 Nissan sentra eccs?

Yes, most fuel injection engines can run on an E10 fuel..

Your drivers side automatic seatbelt on your 1990 Nissan maxima suddenly stopped working How should you troubleshoot?

IF ONE IS AVAILABLE ( JUNKYARD - 30 BUCKS ) I WOULD REPLACE THE PASSIVE BELT CONTROL BOX. LOCATED DIRECTLY UNDER THE ASH TRAY / BETWEEN SHIFTER AND ECCS BOX.

What are the eccs codes for 1990 Nissan Maxima?

They're in most shop manuals. Similar can be found at http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/1f/50/17/0900823d801f5017.jsp

How do you loosen alternator belt on 1989 Nissan 240 sx?

Facing your engine from the front of your car, the alternator is on the mid left side below your ECCS/Throttle body/Intake. There are 2 bolts you will have to loosen. The first is the bolt on the FRONT side of your alternator tensioner. It takes a 12mm socket or wrench. This will free up the tensioning bolt that is located to the LEFT of the first bolt which you can unscrew to loosen your belt. I believe it also takes a 12mm socket. (I took off my intake tubing to get to it.)

What does ECCS stand for?

Engine Computer Control System *- Also regarding Nissan 720 p/u Z24, ECCS can stand for Electronic Concentrated Control System ( I know 85's have this & 84 Calif. mod not sure what other years). System function is to control the fuel/air mixture at carb, it consists of following subsystems and components: spark plug switching control (switchs from 4-8 active plugs when needed), fuel shut off control (shuts off fuel during deceleration), fuel mixture heater (fitted under carb to heat fuel for better vaporization/burn), air fuel ratio control solenoid ( located in carb is the actual air/fuel mixer, different voltage inputs cause it to stay within certain values 14.7to1 I think!), O2 sensor, H2O temp sensor, throttle valve switch (located on side of carb sends throttle points to computer), vacuum switch on Int. manifold, clutch switch, neutral switch, inhibitor switch(A/T). On Z20 engines the ECCS incorporates a detonation sensor subsystem ( senses engine knock/ compensates). I've been unable to find a wiring diagram for insides of this control system nor any testing instructions, unit has one green light on side facing engine, I've yet to attempt checking it for any diag. codes (most of these units have a red and green light, however this year/model has only one green, will check it for slow/fast blink codes and update as needed. Sorry got carried away, toomuch info perhaps, but I like to be thorough.

Where is the idle screw on 1990 240sx?

This one is alittle tough to explain through text. Open the hood, now go to the passanger side of the car, see the silver intake plenum (says ECCS on it) on look all the way to the left, see the two hoses, look underneath them for a hole. through that holse is the screw, you will need a stubby screw driver to turn it.

Where is the VG30 ecs engine coolant temperature sensor?

This sensor is located on the front of the engine. I've had to replace this one before. It's a pain to get to because in order to access the sensor, you have to perform the same steps as you would to change the timing belt. If you look at the front of the engine, just under and to the vehicle's right of the distributor, you should see a wire leading to the sensor. You may or may not see the sensor itself because it's so badly buried. According to the Nissan Service Manual, the sensor, located on the front side of the driver's side cylinder head, detects cylinder head temperature depending on engine coolant temperature. The electric resistance of this sensor decreases in response to temprature rise. If the ECCS detects that this sensor is bad, it will set a Code No. 13 and set the Check Engine Light. My VG30 is in a 1989 hardbody.

What is the most common type of nuclear power plant crisis?

Loss Of Offsite Power (LOOP). This results in load rejection by the turbine, and a trip and isolation of the reactor. Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) starts up, followed by the diesel generators, which brings the heatsink back. After a few minutes or seconds, offsite power is generally restored, and we stabilize and come back up with no problems. If its a short term transient LOOP - less than 10 seconds - the diesel generators won't generally even take the load. The word "crises" in this context is a misnomer - the plant is designed to handle a LOOP - its really a non problem - its more properly just called an event.
