I'm not a mechanic / technician but I believe the EGR solenoid is mounted on the driver's side of the engine to the right and slightly below the PFE/DPFE sensor on the 4.0 L OHV engine ( The differential pressure feedback EGR sensor is mounted on the driver's side of the engine on the side of the upper "plastic" intake manifold on the 4.0 L OHV engine ) Helpfull
The starter solenoid is mounted directly to the starter.
I got a 1997 explorer sport with control trac 4wd. its suppose to but it doesnt work.
# 17 is a 20 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter and Data Link Connector in a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport
It is bolted to the side of the engine compartment immediately below the hood. It will be on the same side as your battery. Just trace the positive (red) cable from the battery directly to the solenoid.
If you mean the starter solenoid / relay , it is now in the power distribution box in the engine compartment ( the PD BOX is " live " ) It is relay # 49 , one of the larger relays
The fuse for your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport is similar to that of the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport.
