This is normally located under your dash somewhere. I always find it in a different location. I normally just tun on the flashers/ turn signals if they work and listen and feel to find it. It should be a small box that has a wire connecter on it. I know that's a very vague description but, I just don't know where it would be exactly on a Lincoln as I have never had to replace one on a Lincoln. There is no flasher unit on a 97. It is controled by an LCM or Lighting Control Module. Dealership part and is pretty pricey.
On a 97 Toyota Camry, the flasher relay is typically located under the dash. When the dash is opened, the flasher relay will be right under the gas pedal.

On a 1997 Lincoln Continental : The Mass Air Flow sensor is between the cone shaped engine air filter and the engine air intake tube . It is INSIDE a round shaped plastic housing
No it can not--Different block,manifolds,heads,computers and harness. Also Continental is FWD Linc LS is RWD.

There is no flasher on the 97. It is all controlled by the LCM or lighting control module. I believe it is between $200 and $400 for a dealership replacement.
