Where is the fuel filter located on a 1986 Toyota truck?
Obviously, very similar to the answer for the 1988 fuel filter. Damned if you dont have to replace these things about every 7 years. On an 87 you start at the gas tank and follow the line. But, after you get under there, by the back wheelwell passengerside, if you have to move forward you missed it. It is easy to find and easy to replace. This also applies to a 1988 Toyota Pickup. Just in front of the rear passenger tire.
Most sites will say that is is located, Under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area, near fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line". This may be true but on some Toyota's I have found it to be located drivers side, under the intake manifold. It is a black filter and extremely hard to see and hard to access and replace. If you find the filter located under the intake, you can access it…
i have a 1990 jimmy and it should b the same but follow the fuel tube along the undercarage and u should come to the filter and then all u do is unbolt the clamp and unbolt the filter and in goes the new one.. i have a 1986 S-15 JIMMY and found the fuel filter on the engine block. Located below the power steering pump, on drivers side.
