On the mark 1/1.5, it is in the fuel tank. Disconnect fuel pipes from filter and just above the fuel filter is a bolt undo this to release the two straps holding the tank up (best done with two people). Once dropped a little the wire plug needs to be disconnected and the pipes need to be removed to drop it all the way. The pump is in two parts undo the top part this is just wires and pipes the actual pump is at the bottom of the tank give it a slight turn anti-clock wise you will feel a click and it should pull out.
