hi! i replaced a sensor on mine a few months ago. you should be glad you have a caddy. it is in a easy location while in almost all cars you have to drop the fuel tank to get to it.
i have a 2000 STS drive until you have little gas in the tank IN the trunk, pull up the carpet (behind the rear passenger side seat) you will see a little door/access panel on the floor. 6-10 bolts and a flat screwdriver to pry up the cover there's a special tool that dealers use to remove the pump but i used aflat screwdriver and hammer to work my around the metal locking ring (it was a little stuck). pull up the pump slowly so you do not damage the arm and let the gas drain back into the tank. Do what you need to do with the fuel pump. i bolted the access panel back into place but put caulk around where the black seal sealed was to seal the vapors out of the trunk.
