Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1990 Plymouth Laser rs?
I have a 1992 Plymouth Laser RS 2.0 and the EFI (fuel pump relay) is located under the console to the right and bottom of the ECU as your sitting in the drivers seat. It is a brass metal relay that has only 1 12-pin connector. It is brass in color and about 3" X 1.5". You can't miss it. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Thanks, Bryan
Unfortunately, I can only tell you where the relay is located on a 1990 1.5 Plymouth colt hatchback. Perhaps they are the same. As far as I know the relay that controls the fuel pump is in something the manual calls a MPI Control Relay (Multi-Point Injection). This relay seems to handle a couple of different things and I believe it is located almost directly behind the ash tray, below the radio, etc. On my…
The relays are located on the driver side inner fender... I heard that you can take the horn relay out and change it with the fuel pump relay and if the fuel pump works and horn doesnt then you know that it was the relay... Fuses are easy to check, just look at it, if it is broken then its the fuse.
Check the fuel pump relay. It's on the passenger side fender between the battery and strutt tower. Have someone turn the ignition to the run position (don't start the engine) while you listen, the fuel pump relay will click when it turns on. Run the vehicle until the pump stops working and check for the click again. If it doesn't click replace the relay.
