It's in the #3 slot and the rear is in the #16 slot.
Sounds like your cigar lighter fuse is blown, located in the front fuse box under the engine hood, should be a 10 or 15 amp fuse
The owners manual list fuse numbers: 1. Power Outlet (Front) 16. Power Outlet (Rear) 31. Cigar Lighter
I have a 2000 Mercedes, and the fuses for the lighter are 5 and 15 in the left front fuse box under the hood.
On a 2001 Ford Taurus : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the front of the engine compartment , near the battery ( mini fuse # 18 is a 20 amp fuse for the cigar lighter )
On a 2001 Lincoln LS : In the fuse panel in the front passenger footwell : ( # 32 is a 20 amp fuse for the cigar lighter )
No 8 fuse in front right fuse panel
To remove the cigar lighter on a 1986 Chevy Celebrity: 1. Remove the ashtray 2. Remove the slide that the ashtray goes into. It is necessary to remove the noise panel under the dash also. 3. Reach up behind the dash and unplug the wire harness from the cigar lighter socket, then unscrew the outer shell from the socket. 4. The socket will now pull out the front of the dash. Reverse the removal process to reinstall the cigar lighter.
In the fuse panel , behind the right front kick panel , ( fuse # 29 ) is a 20 amp fuse for cigar lighter or power point / OBDII diagnostic connector
The fuse panel is behind a plastic door on the passenger side interior, just in front of the door. Fuse for the cigar lighter is number 29 but number 34 sometimes blows as well. Be sure to check both with the same type fuse (20 amp).
try 31 for front. and #16 for rear power outlet
1996 Owners Manual, page 344 indicates:* Fuse #3, named "Dimmer Illumination", 5amp fuse, dash lights, control switch lighting, Cigar lighter light plus a whole bunch more * Fuse #22, named "Rear Cigar/Power Plug", 20amp fuse, rear cigar lighter * Fuse #28, named "Front Cigar lighter", 15amp fuse, front lighter I would expect these fuse designations to be applicable to 1995 - 1998 Windstars.Best resource is the individual model year Owners Manual- see below For Windstar 1998, the fusepanel is under the driver side and you can replace the miniture fuse with the same rating (20 or 30 amps ???). Please check first that the cigarette lighter is not shorted. Good luck.. Get fuse #28 i/pfuse is burned out.It is fuse #28 in the fusebox located in the fusebox under the dash on the driver side of vehicle. It requires a 20amp fuse. # 28 is third row from bottom and second column from right.# 28 is a 15 amp fuse for the front cigarette lighter# 22 nis a 20 amp fuse for the rear cigarette lighter and power point( in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side )
