The 1996 Chevy Cavalier rear window defroster fuse can be found in the fuse box. The rear window defroster fuse will be in the second column, fifth from the top.
You can get the fuse for 1998 rear window defroster at the NAPA, Auto Zone.
Had the same problem. Make sure the rear window is all the way up. This is probably a safety feature? Your wipers and rear defroster should work.
under the hood on my 2003, it's #33 for fuse and #9 for relay
Yes
Replace
To your left at the top
you either have a blowed fuse or a wire crossed
There's a fuse box in the engine, under the hood. If you have the manual still, it will give you the map of what fuse does what. It's a bigger fuse.
wrong size fuse. wire from fuse to rear defrosted damaged and shorting to the body. wire at actual window shorting to body.
The defroster is a thin filament that is run across the rear window sometimes inside that heats up to remove frost. first off does the switch light up when pressed? is there power to the connector at the back window? if so then check the filament itself for breaks this may be the problem, if not then it may be a blown fuse, or bad connection.
No there is not a fuse. The motor for the power windows could be going out. It happens all the time in middle aged cars.
