Depends. If you have factory a/c on the car, its going to be underneath your dash on the right side. If not, then its near that large black box attached to the firewall under the hood on the left side. Hope that helps.

Would depend on what year impala On a 63 impala or many of the early ones you need to remove the passener side fender. The remove the power wire from the blower motor. Then remove the heater hoses. then remove the heater box from the fire wall. the heater core is inside that box. Newer models I am not familiar with

Recommend you check the blower motor resistor.
The blower may simply have burned out. If the blower is out then the heater probably still works.
If your wondering because you only get a 2 or 3 selection for blower instead of 5. and your replacing blower resistor, im told go behind glove box? never tried it. The blower motor is directly above the glove box. Directly in front of that is the resistor for your ac/heat.
