The heater blower motor shouldn't have a rheostat, perhaps the resistor was meant? If so, it would be on the bottom of the passenger side dashboard, visible from the floor. There should be a 5-wire harness leading to it and it should be retained by two screws. Removal or replacement is as simple as disconnecting the harness, removing the 2 screws, and slipping out the module.
