It's inside the throttle body. Follow the air intake from the air filter back to the part that sits on top of the intake manifold... that's the throttle body.
HOWEVER... Most often, idle problems are not caused by the throttle body. Run a diagnostic scan and possibly a compression test to see what's going on. You'll most likely have other problems.
no
The Saturn EGR valve is attached to the head, directly above the transmission bell housing.
In the tank.
That was the case on my 1994 Saturn SL1
Yes there is.
It is just to the right attached to the head.
Probably not. The 94' models were more box shaped and newer models are rounder.
my 1994 sl1 gets 38-40 mpg city and around 45-47 mpg highway
TPS - throttle position sensor/IAC - idle air control valve malfunction. When the throttle is depressed, the computer does not realize it and does not add fuel, causing a severe lack of fuel and the engine dies.
Top right side of engine as you stand in front of the car
Any Saturn Automatic transmission from 1994-2002 with the stamp of MP6 in the top of the bell housing will work in your 1994 SL1. Do not use transmissions from 1991-1993 because they do not have the casting in the top of the case for the transmission torque strut mount.
Inside the transmission, just above the transmission oil pan.
