== == According to My Haynes manual, the igniter on a 1997 Geo Metro LSI is on the firewall. The only thing in the distributor is the pick up coil. What I can't determine as of this posting is whether it's the silver aluminum (about 2" long) box on the far left driver side, or the small plastic box (1" long) about 6 inches toward the right. Either way I suspect it may be the cause of the weak spark. It's very expensive to buy either of these suspected components so I'm still looking for the cause of my car's lack of power.
