If your key is stuck: on the underside of the steering column cover there is a round recess cover. Remove the cover and using a pecil push up through the recess.

The ignition switch in a 2004 Pontiac grand am can be installed by first Sliding out old lock cylinder and then Press the small release tab While turning the key to the ON Position.
The 1994 Pontiac Grand Am ignition lock cylinder is held in place by the retaining ring at the top of the cylinder. Remove the retaining ring. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the cylinder.

Unfortunately, with an air bag assembly, it is recommended that you take your vehicle to a trained technician so that the airbag doesn't deploy accidentally while you are working on it.
