The intake air temperature sensor for a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer is on the intake tube in front of the throttle body. It looks like a small metal box.
left side of the intake manifold.
It is the Intake Air Temperature sensor usually located on the air inlet housing. When malfunctioning it will post error code P0111 and illuminate the Service Engine Soon warning llamp.
non turbos have them in the air intake mainfold, turbo engines have them on the inside the box that conects the air intake pipe and the air intake filter just remove the filter from this box and also remove this box from the air itake pipe and you can see the iat sensor in there
Mitsubishi Eclipse's don't have MAP sensors that come stock with the car. Mitsubishi uses MAF( Mass air flow sensors) not Mass air pressure and Intake Air Temps also referred to as speed density.
On the Non-Turbo it is on the left side of the Throtle body. Turbo model I have no clue.
