there are 2 bank 1 is located below the exaust manifold flanges above the catalitic converter and the bank 2 is located in the exaust pipe towards the rear
I was looking in my Chilton book at the engine wiring schematic for a 1993 Ford Ranger 2.3 liter 4 cylinder and I only see ( 1 ) heated oxygen sensor
According to my Chilton repair manual engine wiring schematics there is ( 1 ) on the 4 cylinder and ( 2 ) for the V6 engines in a 1994 Ford Ranger
They are either in the outlets of the exhaust manifolds or in the exhaust pipes close to the engine
Four cylinder engine? 2 sensors, one before the cat and one after.
Check
If you have a 4 cylinder engine, you will have two. On a 6 cylinder, you will have four.
A little more information please ( what year of Ford Ranger , what size is the engine ) As far as I know there could be as many as four oxygen sensors or as little as one depending on the year and engine size
their is more than one oxygen sensor but the one that is probly bad is on the exhaust system. otherwise I would check the map sensor.
According to the engine wiring schematic in my Chilton book : For a 1999 Ford Ranger , 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine : ( there are 3 oxygen sensors )
You will find them in the exhaust system.
On a Ford Ranger ( V6 engine ) Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine Sensor 1 would be close to the engine before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
It just has ( 1 ) oxygen sensor , before the catalytic converter ( upstream )
