If it is a 6 Cly. the most likely location is at about 11:00 on the bell housing looking forward.
Very hard to get to and drooped bolts may end up in your transmission bell housing. Magnetic sockets and small hands advised.
it does not have a crank position sensor. it uses the ignition control module as a crank sensor. it is in the distributor cap
You can not. The crankshaft position sensor is required to run the engine.

Yes. The Crank sensor monitors the position and rotational speed of the engine to determine timing for ignition. if it is not functioning you will get no spark.
