I have a series II 3.8 liter. The MAF sensor is located under the plastic cover for the engin. You have to take the oil fill cap and neck off to lift the cover off. Once the cover is removed, the MAF sensor can be seen at the top and to the left of the engin. it is a small square box that has a three wire plug in and two vacume lines going to it. Ceck to see if the wire connections are ok before you replace the sensor. Good luck.

Replace your MAF sensor. The MAF sensor provides part of the air fuel mixture information. When they fail, they throw off your mixture. Installing a new MAF will make your car run like its supposed to. Unplugging it is only good to get you home.
