Attached to neg post on battery should be labelled with (-) sign if not color coded black.
To reset the computer on a 2002 Ford Taurus disconnect the negative battery cable. Leave the battery cable disconnected for five to ten minutes. Reconnect the cable and start the car. The computer should be reset.
do you mean WHERE is the battery? it is located under the back seat on the passanger side. you have to remove the backseat to access it.

Remove brackets that hold existing battery in place. Unscrew negative cable, then positive cable. Pull old battery out. Place new battery in. Fasten negative battery cable, then positive one. Place bracket back on and tighten nuts.
Bad alternator, voltage regulator, or battery. Also a loose or corroded cable or bad cable.
unhook your battery for about 1 min and hook it back up
