The B2200 does not have "scan tool" capability. It does have a diagnositics port that can be used to throw out codes using the MIL light in the dash. There are about a dozen codes that at best tell you the obvious. There is lots of help on mazdatruckin.com that can help you diagnose your truck.
Near the battery. It will have "DIAGNOSTIC" on the cover.
On the 86-93 mazda b series truck there is NOT a obd port to retrieve codes. The computers on these trucks are soley designed to run the fuel systems and emissions systems. There are NO codes to be retrieved and there is not a listing even made to do so on these year models. When doing diagnostics normally it is based on checking sensors and isolating based on that using a multimeter or advanced meters to check voltage, pressure for vacumm.Hope this clarifies things.Mazda did not go to the OBD until 1994 and newer models on the trucks.
Its in the biggest line trace it from your a/c compressor.

LOCATION OF OBD2 PORT?
No.
You would add R-134a to the low side port which can be found on the Receiver Drier. You can find a drawing spec of this on the website link below.
The 2002 Mazda Tribute OBD 2 port is on rear edge of dash; right of hood release
It's now referred to as "refrigerant". It is also commonly referred to as Freon. Find the low pressure port,,,should be the smaller of the tow ports on the refrigerant lines. It will have a black, blue or green cap on it. That is where you introduce more refrigerant to the a/c system.
Yes the 1994 Mazda Protege is a OBD 1 port
